Verisign stock jumps 5% as Top man leaves




VeriSign Inc., a provider of digital commerce and communications products and services, said Tuesday Chief Executive and director Stratton D. Sclavos stepped down from his positions for undisclosed reasons.

Shares immediately leapt up by 5% on the announcement.

Sclavos is creditted as the man that lost the .cc and .tv extensions to competitors but refusing to negotiate with the countries concerned telling them they should be glad verisign wants to run their tlds !
