Help needed to find a new host (website & Vbulletin). Specs included. Help appreciated!
Our current host’s MySQL is rather poor, and this is making our VBulletin run slowly far too often, so we need to move.
Our site stats (for the entire website) for Feb:-
- Total Hits 3,072,554
- Total Files 2,343,497
- Total Pages 1,246,668
- Total Visits 50,593
- Total KBytes 13,623,373
- Hits per Hour 4,414 / 14,977 (avg / max)
- Hits per Day 105,950 / 173,885 (avg / max)
- Files per Day 80,810 / 136,699 (avg / max)
- Pages per Day 42,988 / 96,012 (avg / max)
- Visits per Day 1,744 / 1,982 (avg / max)
- KBytes per Day 469,771 / 578,102 (avg / max)
Our VBulletin forum:-
- Threads: 9,681, Posts: 132,192, Members: 1,817. The MySQL database is about 190mb currently after just about over 2yrs of use.
- Typically we have about 5-50 users online, and about 200 posts a day. Not sure how many emails (notifications) this produces!
- We have Flashchat and Shoutbox installed, but if needs be we’re happy to lose the ShoutBox (it accounts for 15% of our bandwidth amazingly!!).
We’d want to get a host who has no problems with these requirements, and if we double them (eg: 30gig of bandwidth, and 150 users in the forum) we have no issues.
We know you can get provers for $5-7 a month, and that would be great, but at the same time we’re happy (if needs-be) to pay twice that if it means absolutely no issues with 2 or 3 times our current traffic (& users on the forum) and nice fast speeds and hassle free hosting!
Any suggestions, even better backed up with peoples examples of VBulletin’s running on these hosts, would be very VERY appreciated!
