When I complained about service the first time they blamed my scripts. They were right. I was not closing off my database scripts and it is quite conceivable that in the hosting environment they were not being disposed of correctly. So I went through and audited our whole website and changed all the scripts. Then I began to get responses from our users that the website was crashing daily, I received advice from DynamicHosting that a “bad domain was causing the problems and should be fixed now”. Then I received an apology from them stating:
“I’m really sorry about this, it’s not the service that you should expect and I apologize for that. We can migrate your site to a new server in a new data center that is much more reliable then the server / data center you are in now. Thank you very much for all your patience.”

DownTownHost Web Hosting Service - Short Review
Friday, March 14th, 2008Just thought that I’d post a review of DownTownHost since I have been with them for more than a month now (almost two months actually). One of my sites hosted by DownTownHost: http://www.tw3o.com/
Well, first of all, I have to say that the support is AMAZING. I had to transfer my sites from another host and the guys over at DTH did everything for me in an instant. Once in a while I had problems with my sites, and they solved the problems quickly because they are always available through live support. Well, actually, more than just the live support on their site. I even have Jorge as a contact on my MSN!

Lostinspacehosting Web Hosting Service - Several Years Review
Friday, March 14th, 2008It’s now time after several years of self-growing up in php-webdevelopment and eTeaching experience, that I just set this Testimonial to my ISP that took me over from Italy and patiently helped me during quite a few years already, to consolidate my eTeaching platform in internet.
Last year the Lostinspacehosting server software was also smoothly upgraded and runs now happily Apache - mod_suphp
They helped consistently to solve my security issues by switching me into a special reseller Package DEAL, after a couple years of serving me with a personal Package, I proved their ISP patience and got a lot of help that succeded to isolate my FTP users by making a lot of special & non standard open_basedir settings.
Thanks to Josh Kennedy who has been for me more a mentor rather than a valid contact helpdesk person.
HostingZoom Web Hosting Service Review - 3 Years
Thursday, March 13th, 2008If some of you have followed my other reviews on HostingZoom(HZ) posted on here, you might be wondering why are the # of months are not correct… it’s actually do to my poor math skills haha.. but here it is, calculated correctly(I hope).
I’ve been an HZ customer for 3 years now. That must say quite a lot about HZ in itself and the fact that I come back here periodically to tell others about my experience at HZ. A little backgrounder for starters.
I’ve been with HZ since April 2005. I came to this very forum to read up on reviews and get recommendations. I narrowed down my search to HZ and Site5. At the time, 2 very formiddible hosts in the industry. Both touting blazing fast response time to tickets, superior-high quality support, excellent servers managed by the best. After getting feedback and contacting both hosts I made my decision to go with HZ. Their sales staff was particularly helpful and friendly. Quite prominentely I remember getting blazing fast replies from Kiet Duong(CEO of HZ) with detailed explanations to the questions I had as a n00b in the hosting industry(I feel quite dumb looking back at the questions I’ve asked). It was this personal helpfulness that I experienced that gave me the extra push to go with HZ added with the fact that they had live chat technical support.

StartLogic Customer. I’m NOT Happy - Short Review
Thursday, March 13th, 2008I am a total newb. I wanted to try to make a site maybe 3-4 months ago, so I looked for a web host. I chose http://www.startlogic.com
All was well until maybe 2 weeks ago. Every page that relied on a mysql database began loading very slowly. These are WP blogs. I waited a few days and contacted support @ Start Logic. They said it would have to go to level 2 tech support, but they would get an answer/ fix within 24 hours.
After 4 days, I had not heard from them. So I went to their online chat tech support for an answer. After 1.5 hours of waiting, I reached customer service. The lady began by telling me that I needed to mail them some screen shots of the problem. Then she put me on hold and came back with this auto response:
